Yeah Kelly Caitlin's suicide came on the back of a bad crash where her helmet was split in two, really bad concussion, just horrible to learn about it. So many sports with so many dangers.

On Flemish tv today

Adrie van der Poel: "I think Mathieu has done well so far, two 4ths and two wins in his first road season. He should stay on his bike more often though."

Sep Vanmarcke: "I've been trying to get a top-10 for 10 years and he gets 4th even after crashing, he's making fools of us"

I'm still lost as to the appeal of Flanders though.

That was an astonishing race, with leaders racing from 100 kms out, and even when it came back together, it was possible race winners attacking and barely a dull moment in the last 80 kms.

He was clearly the strongest on the Kwaremont. No-one marked it because none of them could go with it.

No need to be rude.

I love him because he is so often the strongest rider in the final moments yet never gets the win.

Phew, relief. MVDP promises to wear black bibs in the Amstel Gold Race.

She's one of the more interesting personalities in pro cycling as well as a serious talent. Only 23 and she seems to be a genuine contender in one-day races as well as GC. It's also always good to see someone who seems to really enjoy their racing too.

I totally agree. I know the women’s side of the sport is subtly different than the men’s, and you don’t get the same level of specialisation, but for a climber like her to finish on the podium at Flanders is a real accomplishment. That should be applauded.
