  • Did Eurosport even show the finish of the women's race?

  • Van Baarle looks hugely strong up front. But we all know Valverde is going to win.

  • Quickstep clearly don’t fancy Asgreen if they’re working on the front.

  • Van Baarle needs to go all in.

  • Valverde is going to win.

I'd lose my shit with happiness if this happens !

  • Can’t see a Sky rider in the second group.

  • what I can't stand is Rapha content celebrating a win ..

  • Holy shit, MVDP sideways skid

  • Why don’t QS put someone on the front to shut the gap given they have numbers?

  • Yeah I don't know where the fuck Rowe went

  • Great for Bettiol and his team if he can hang on.

  • Never thought I would see EF win a classic! Kudos!

  • No email from rapha yet ..

  • Stalemate behind Bettiol. Nobody wanted to tow a group with so many fast finishers to the line I suppose.

  • Vaughter's teams have won 4 monuments in the last 8 years with 3 different riders. They are not the miserable failures that some people would have you believe.

  • Maybe even rapha dream it ! I am sure by the morning we all will. And will and will .....

  • But that's almost all they've won really (Vansummeren and Martin I recall, who is the third?). Check their list of "major" wins:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wins_by_TIAA_CREF_and_its_successors

Since their "interesting" Giro win, and the few monuments they've won a handful of GT stages and after that it's mostly 2nd tier WT races or below.

For a world tour team it seems quite thin on the ground.

  • Meh, they've had a couple of lean years but they do ok.
I'm still lost as to the appeal of Flanders though.

  • The joy of being an outside bet. Nobody marked his move. First pro win and it's a monument

  • MVP 4th even after stacking it what a machine.

Is Kristoff racing next Sunday? Be cool to see him on the podium for all 3.

  • Also Terpstra's crash looked awful.

  • Yeah never good to see someone go down and just not be moving. It's rare that riders from other teams stop and help in a crash, usually they just look to be on their way but their concern was palpable.

  • Yeah they looked genuinely worried about him. The way he was lying I thought he had broken his leg but I think he was out cold.

  • Terpstra was out cold for about two minutes.
Nice to see his team give him time off to recover. Concussion needs to be taken seriously.

I was frustrated when the chase group all stopped racing and started looking around like tourists.
All those great riders and they give up.
Van Baarle put a good effort in.

  • Panache that.
