Well damn it’s that easy

I'm on the lookout for a dynamo rear light - either frame or seatpost mount type thing, drop me a pm if you're selling something!

I recently saw a light mount that would mount inside the lower bit of a fork steerer tube via star knut. I thought it was SJS but now can’t find it. Anyone have any ideas?

I remember reading on here about a dynamo front light which had an option to charge things via USB & it was a pretty cost-efficient way of getting a USB charging dynamo setup. Anyone remember what light it is?

There are a couple I think - sinewave beacon is the fancy version, plus I think maybe b+m do a cheaper light with the same features?

also some Axa

@amey @andyfallsoff Cheers, will look at those tomorrow!

the B+M one is notorious for failing in the rain
I bought a sinewave beacon at a very healthy discount, will let you know what it's like -

I also have one. Still playing with battery packs that it works with.
On the plus side it charges my vape...

ah, nice
took me 2yrs to find a SON MTB hub + sinewave beacon that wasn't £££££££!
very excited to try mine -

Same spec I'm running. Did first trip with that setup last weekend.
Really impressed with both quality and the beam pattern on the light.

Usb2byk is a solid option too

Read a few reviews to that effect. Annoying, as I really like my B&M IQ-X, quality feels lovely.
Looked up the Sinewave Beacon - crikey! Must've been a good discount. Looks like a lovely piece of kit though.

On a USB note, anyone had any experience with a VeloCharger?
-
• #2118
I have a sinewave reactor to sell, actually, forgot to mention
£235 new, make me an offer? -
• #2119
They're terribly expensive for something so simple
-
• #2120
not sure I believe this guy
that's definitely not waterproof is it -
• #2121
Haha no of course not. I just mean its a relatively simple circuit in with a bit of plastic or alu for a plug and they're £100+ usually
-
• #2122
Any chance of a close up picture? I can't seem to get the IQX mounted on a go pro mount, doesn't seem to fit...
-
• #2123
They can take my money if that's simple
-
• #2124
The Sinewave ones major expense is the machining of the unit. Look at their matchbox style one, it’s about half the price.
-
• #2125
Yeah. And FWIW it's a beautifully machined piece of kit.
Even easier / cheaper: https://www.noga.com/Products/ld26/Light%20Duty%202.6mm%20Swivel%20blade/BN3010/N3_Blade_-_BN3010
