There didn't seem to be any co-ordination to the players coming in.
Some that came in certainly didn't live up to expectations (Seri).
Some were dire most season (Le Marchand, Christie)
Some were great signings/loanings (Schurrle)
Some bizarre (Babel)Hopefully Parker will be able to sort something out and they can bounce back quickly (I assume Khan will want them back up ASAP, which is always a tough ask).

The players we bought in were baffling to most of us, instead of building on the team we had and bringing in a bit of experience and maybe players who had a point to prove with bought in far to many untested players none of which played any part in pre season. Tony Khan is/was in charge of player recruitment and Slav had already mentioned he didn't know which players would just turn up at training.
Funny that Babel hasn't been that bad and one of our better players apart from that stupid hair do. Just no team unity whats so ever.

I know, he's been treated really badly this season playing much as a sub, wouldn't blame him if he goes.

I’ve said before that we’ve got to this point (title contenders/champions league QF) a couple of seasons too early, on Levy’s time frame, taking into consideration the money we haven’t spent, and the players we can’t buy.
Pochettino has over achieved and the expectation at the club has risen to the point where the fans demand the cash/player infusion to challenge/win the title, when this level of play was supposed to happen after we got into the new stadium, not for the seasons running up to it.
Levy’s raised the wage bar, and we’re now prudently competitive in that regard, but we need a decent couple of transfer windows to find the right players so we can hopefully take that final step in the next couple of seasons. -

Can you keep mitrovic and sessegnon?
And of the players brought in were they on contracts which are relegation friendly, if you need to keep them? Or are you going to be getting rid of all of them and then having to rely on the disgruntled players that got you into the premier league in the first place? -
• #149432
Mitrovic is being heavily linked with a move to WHU as a Carroll replacement
-
• #149433
Really! I’ve seen him mentioned as back up/alternate to Kane, but I’m not sure he’d be happy playing second fiddle.
Would he fit with arnautovic/Hernandez up top, or would he be the new main striker?
Also how long has Carroll got on his contract? Your lot aren’t going to give him an extension are you?
-
• #149434
Carroll’s contract is up in the summer* and can’t for a second see him getting the 2 year extension triggered.
*Been a long wait for it to finally run down.
Tbh I’d be amazed if Arnautovic isn’t also sold in the summer and can see Hernandez go too. Perez can also do one.
I’d never wish relegation on anyone (other than Spurs) I’m hoping Celta Vigo drop and we grab Maxi Gomez and Mitrovic from Fulham.

all our scorers tonight were long overdue a goal, nice to see some new goalscorers on the roster this term too
southampton with the " alpine klopp " in charge, pretty much did a liverpool, quick counter attacks, pressing, loads of chances on the break, they looked pretty handy they're just short of a salah and a mane up front
top once again, any draw or defeat from here on in will be the end of our challenge, just hope we don't get a slippy fabihno or slippy hendo against chelsea

only three champions league spots left now too

Find it hard to see Liverpool dropping points against anyone other than maybe Chelsea now. Spurs and Southampton games were the big hurdles. Benitez will make sure Newcastle roll over.
City have got get points at United and home against spurs.
Advantage Liverpool surely.

It's been Libpool's to lose since before Christmas, I'm sure they'll make fools of themselves again... No stones...
Not the player, you know what I mean...

I think if you're discussing the crowd, yeah. Players, not any more.

Well, I'm glad I went to The Den today... >>>>>>>
Fucking shower of shite.
Super disappointed by the ground too. Thought it was supposed to be intimidating. There were more police than there were Millwall fans.

Starting to look like we may (surprisingly) make it over the line this year, and we’re doing it playing some lovely stuff. I’ve never seen a side of ours that’s so comfortable on the ball through the whole team.
Could do with another Leeds or Sheffield United wobble in the next two rounds of games though to ease the nerves a bit...

Leeds are the Spurs of the Championship. Pass it on.

Re 3000 empty seats at Spurs opener. Have the NFL block bought a section of seating?

Superb goal but fuck RB Leipzig.

Love the way the subs all stop running and look pissed off

Proper answer is more mundane,
According to the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust, who fielded a LOT of questions about this, it was a combination of factors. These included the club being overly cautious in the first match at “full capacity” with regards to sight lines and buffers between away fans, a few people just not showing up, and due to the way the club calculates attendance numbers (as in only counting fans through the turnstiles rather then tickets sold)

Wolves >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
How'd you let Sessegnon get down to the last year of his contract? Seems a bit careless.
