Not listed on their site but they'll quote for you on email. Mine were £250 for the wheelset.

Anyone successfully Tubeless-ified any of the Rivendell designed, Panaracer made Planet X tyres? I'm wondering if these are gonna work and was hoping someone had already done the (literally) dirty work finding out?:

It's a proper tubeless rim btw.

I’ve used the 700c jack browns. They roll like £19 tyres tbh.
-
• #2158
Fair enough. Were they set up tubeless?
-
• #2159
You could try it, make sure you have a good dentist. Tubeless tyres have a different bead to wired tyres. I know many have ghetto tubelessed tyres, but I ain't gonna risk it.

• #2160
I could, but I was hoping someone else had already.

The new wave of Terns are decent.
Not according to my experience building many many Vektrons & GSDs.
-
• #2162
Out of interest, what are the problems you’ve encountered?
-
• #2163
Being Tern.
Beside the fact they’re already a very flawed design that could result in an expensive dentist bill.

https://www.pedalroom.com/bike/surly-steamroller-650b-size-59-38893
got inspired by this and want to convert my volume cutter to something similar, with a carbon cx fork.
Problem is, I'm sceptical about the rear clearance. Chainstay gives about 40-45mm clearance 325mm from the centre of the axle (where a 40ish 650b tyre should be the widest). I very much doubt it'll be enough for a 1.75inch-47mm tyre. Other option could be a smaller 650b tyre like a 1.5inch or even less - though believe it will be too small for the general purpose of a 650b anyways.
Any ways around it or should I just ditch the project? 700x32 seems too meh...

You dont need to run 47. You could run 40's or 42's as long as that CX fork is raising your BB up.

Manufacturing QC issues mostly.
Hydro lines crushed during assembly, over-torqued drive unit mounting bolts, laughably crooked post mounts, FHB dust caps backing out until the cassette seizes, speedometer cables that are too short and tear at the the connector as a result, frames designed around boost 20x2.4" tires where the derailleur/chain STILL rubs the sidewall of the tire in the largest cog, etc etc.

Interesting fork for conversions, would potentially allow the use of 2 wheelsets, if that floats your boat. I have the caliper version and can confirm: well comfy.

cool but at £300 you may as well get some made custom
-
• #2169
Yep, and go bigger than 38c max clearance while you're at it

A question for the 650b crowd - what saddle roll would you recommend? My BigXTop saddle roll is too small to fit a bigger tube, so far I’ve seen a rather expensive Silca one. Anything out there?
-
• #2171
Get BigXTop to make you a bigger one? Might not even charge you extra for 'custom'
-
• #2172
That was my first thought, but he does seem to be extremely busy these days.
-
• #2173
You could strap the tube to your frame.
-
• #2174
That was going to be the last resort haha, found this though https://velotastic.co.uk/product/brands/roadrunner-bags/roadrunner-tool-roll/

Anyone after some 1.9"/48mm Gravel King slicks? Have a used pair and a brand new pair. Measure up about 49/50mm on an i23 rim. Tubeless Compatible
Hunt?
Or do you want rim brake?
