  • Will take a look, ta!

  • Any one here interested in a Telecaster Baritone? I picked it up a few years ago, used it in my old band through a bass amp for fuzzy Kyuss rip off riffs which was great fun. I don't really play it much anymore bar the odd sofa session so thinking of selling it on.

all the details are here: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TeleBTBariSB--fender-blacktop-tele-baritone-3-color-sunburst

Apart from a couple of tiny scratches on the back its in pretty much pristine condition, I'll take some better pics, all I have is a crappy phone one just now.

  • Is that an octave down on a normal guitar?

  • Baritone is normally A or B standard tuning. Playing Kyuss suggests this might be in C.

  • Its standard tuning B-B, so not an octave. The Fender Bass VI is a full octave down.

  • I have a bass Vi for sale if anyone does want a full octave ;D

  • Anyone interested in swaps for a Fender Blender? It's the reissue, bought new off Reverb.com and imported from the US this year. Goes from old-school fuzz up to building-destroying MBV / Pumpkins / Mary Chain kind of tone. Can add more pics etc, still with box, instructions, immaculate condition.

Very interested in swaps for reverb pedals, an EHX Cathedral or similar, Strymon etc

  • Swap for a bass vi :D

  • Looks rad. I'm all pedalled out atm tho.

    Tele.

  • I was riding home from my guitar lesson yesterday, perhaps a little enthusiastically, when I cornered very hard and clipped the very top of the bag on a fence post. Slight cut in the bag and a bent tuning peg is the only damage. The decision to buy a cheap Squire for lessons has already paid dividends...

  • Given the jazz spazz on this thread last month, I thought this ad might be of some interest (its nothing to do with me): https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,2019539

"white Squier (by Fender) Jazzmaster. Indonesian-made"- £160 ono

  • What's the consensus on occasional removing of a neck for pickups swaps? Does it entail much in the way of setup changing afterwards?

I'm looking to add cable jumpers for quick changes and don't really want to replace strings each time.

  • I would be all over that, well nice...

I've been scouring the web for replacement tuners for the flame guitar, mid 60s plastic button "F" Fender tuners for a Coronado I... It seems Fender made some Mustang reissues but they're not that easy to find (tho' I may have found a set), originals are a bit bloody spendy...

  • I hadn't seen this before, "channel-bound" neck from Fender. Quite like the look, I think.

  • B bender (of sorts) on reverb at the mo... isn't someone looking for one? Body only.
    Reverb

  • I have a neck just like this which is going on ebay soon if you like it that much
    (25.5", 9.5 radius, channel bound and blocks + jazzmaster decal - £230)

  • Tempting, but I'm not sure I need another guitar or project of any sort at the moment.

  • Not a bad price, I need to do some sums...

  • That bender body's for a 22 fret neck, no? I have an ace spare neck but it's 21...

  • You're right, boo...

  • If I can shift my Silvertone this weekend I'll buy that...

  • Those USA tele bodies are nice. Poly laquer and weird non-standard bridge size tho.

  • Been playing loads lately. Still working hard on my hand strength and vibrato. Getting much better but i’m Still slow and sloppy. This weekend’s project has been Can You Hear me Knockin from Sticky Fingers. Such a fuckin groovy riff.

  • Been playing a bit of slide too.

  • You playing it in G? It's so fun stumbling on all those Keef parts when you're noodling about in open tuning...

Hang on, is that a Mick Taylor song?
