Did lol. I was thinking more along the lines of a replica "Singerised" but point duly noted!

2016 Ford B-Max...talk to me.
Looking for a smallish comfortable, economical, some-time load lugger, eventual family car.
Anything to be wary of? -

I'd like to have them do a montreal
I'd never seen one of these before; what a fantastic looking thing.

Aren't they doing a green Zagato for Gordon Murray at the moment?

my 'next big thing'.
i'd love to buy a knackered one and chuck it into garage next to a fiat dino, a flaminia touring and a pantera

Noice 964. Looks tidy, even being an ex racer. Do it.
I really can't bring myself to spend that money, or at least all at once.
I'd far, far rather get a fucked one and restore it.
But that one does look very nice.

Have you checked out the Parkers website review and compared the specs, performance etc?
https://www.parkers.co.uk/ford/b-max/
I would say that you'd find it annoyingly small as a family car and it will be annoyingly slow and noisy for lengthy motorway driving.
Would probably be comfortable in a high trim version and economy looks good even for the higher power versions.
FWIW (nothing lol) - I like the S-Max. https://www.parkers.co.uk/ford/s-max/estate-2015/20-ecoboost-titanium-sport-5d-auto/specs/ - would definitely consider one of those as my next car.

It looks like a tidy car but I don't get it. It was a road car, then converted to a race car to run in the Pirelli Cup, then converted back into a road car. It's not a proper Cup car as they were built as race cars by the factory, it was then raced but now shows no signs of being a race car and instead looks like a tidy, standard C2. It has non of the features that make a Carrera Cup car desirable. Then again, looking on Pistonheads, regular 964's are priced at £40K < and they've done 100K miles plus so maybe it's not badly priced given mileage and history.
The problem is, I'd imagine (I can't find any adverts for them) a "fucked one" is still going to be 25k. Then, I'm sure to get it up to your standard and spec could easily cost the same again. -

Thanks mate.
I think it's about a compromise. My other half doesn't want a 'big car' - she's only ever driven a little old micra and a corsa.
It also needs to be petrol and I ain't about no 2.0 or 2.5.
I've got my eye on a B-Max in Titanium trim so should be half decent. I haven't been too put off to check it out by any of the reviews I've read. I just wanted to see what any one here thought too.
Thanks again! -

I've pondered a BMax, once they have depreciated enough,
as a ULEZ runabout, with the 1.0L Ecoboost engine.
The pillarless design means getting people or tool boxes in/out will be much easier
than anyother 'equivalent' vehicle, with the benefit that rear passengers will not smash open their doors into adjoining cars in car parks.
Ford didn't make it for long,
but I'm guessing the main wearing components are shared throughout the model ranges,
so parts will always be available,
and easily serviced by non-Main Dealer Ford specialists.
How much are you hoping to pay? -

Manual, coupe C2 964's are silly money, this one is arguably cheap for the mileage - likely due to its road car/race car/road car history.
Prices for all Porsche are coming down now, however, so it's absolutely not the time to buy anything unless it's a stupendous bargain.

Yep, you've pretty much summed up my thoughts. I'm hoping to pay around £7k-£7.5k
I'd like to have them do a Junior Z.
I'd love to have them build a Giulietta SS or do a TZ.
The dream would be a BAT 9 recreation with Alfaholics engineering :)
