been wondering the same, I changed from a 16t to a 7-speed cassette to get -essentially- the three top gears and even the third is too spinny. What I’d really like is five sprockets 11-15.
But there isn’t anything like that to fit a Shimano freehub as far as I can tell (which means lazy Googling...).

Aren't Shimano 11-25 cassettes one-cog increments on the first 6 cogs, i.e. from 11-16?

Edit: they also do an 11-23 which is one tooth increments all the way from 11-19.

I get this, and find that just resisting the urge to constantly change gears when cycling in the city makes it so much more enjoyable. Find a gear and stay in it (more or less), and then use them when there is more than 200m between every traffic light.

Prob not great for cassette wear, but worth it for me.
