• hey after some advice on bike parks around London. Looking to take friends one weekend to a bike park so they can rent MTBs and have some good times on green/blue/(even red?!) trails.
Should we get to Swinley as early as possible to avoid crowds?
Would prefer trains (and a short ride on city bikes to rental is ok), but could look into car rental. Ta

  • Swinley is your best bet, I think. Other bike parks exist a reasonably short drive from London but they tend to be more technical and on the gnar side.

The Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the South Downs is worth a look if it hasn't been raining. It has a chalk base so is skaty/slidy/icerinkydeath after rain.

  • Cheers. I heard some mixed feedback about Swinley blue trail - rocky, sudden sharp rises. But as you say it’s our best bet so will try it out.
