Finally did this route yesterday, geared. Much fun.

Maybe we need to get a 2020 date in the calendar. Yorkshire Dales?
-
• #134
Yes! Or maybe the Lake District?
-
• #135
I would very much be down for this.

North York Moors
-
• #137
I'd quite like to be able to ride up some of the hills!
For me Lake District and North York Moors are a bit savage in places. Too much 20%+. But I guess with some careful route 'curation' it could be possible...

Just seen this <3

Point taken - Winnats is 20% and not one of us made it all the way up.

Did... You nominate yourself as the 2020 fearless facilitator by making this post?
I think you might have?
-
• #141
Fuck me, how did I only just notice this thread?? I forgot it was even being planned when the other thread stopped getting updates. Did you really make Clement eat 3 breakfasts just so you could get a drone shot?
-
• #142
No
I've realised Yorkshire Dales is not really possible anyway as feasible train stations are too far away.
-
• #143
So, what’s your next idea... facilitator?
-
• #144
As a Frenchman I imagine he prefers the term three courses.
-
• #145
Let me see what the situation is with 'curating' a lakes ride and what train options would be like.
-
• #146
Skipton?
-
• #147
That's true. In my head I really had Buttertubs as part of the loop but given the distance that seems a tad ambitious. I suppose with a train to Skipton you could do a nice loop towards Hawes and Fleet Moss.
-
• #148
Lfgss bus perhaps to the Yorkies?
-
• #149
Is the lfgss bus timetable published in the lfgss book?
-

I did this loop geared a few weeks ago - everything was ok other than Park Rash which was absolutely horrendous. Would be a lot shorter from Skipton.
More material for my upcoming zine "Places Clement is hiding"
