I'd quite like to be able to ride up some of the hills!

For me Lake District and North York Moors are a bit savage in places. Too much 20%+. But I guess with some careful route 'curation' it could be possible...

I've realised Yorkshire Dales is not really possible anyway as feasible train stations are too far away.

That's true. In my head I really had Buttertubs as part of the loop but given the distance that seems a tad ambitious. I suppose with a train to Skipton you could do a nice loop towards Hawes and Fleet Moss.

Lfgss bus perhaps to the Yorkies?

Is the lfgss bus timetable published in the lfgss book?

I did this loop geared a few weeks ago - everything was ok other than Park Rash which was absolutely horrendous. Would be a lot shorter from Skipton.
