which RD should I use?
Neither has the capacity to accommodate a 2x (other than a very old-school half-step) with such a large range cassette, and a Wolftooth does not change that. For a 1x set-up, the GS needs less hanger extension to fit the dinner plate, so it should be slightly less shit changing at the top assuming there are different lengths of wolves' teeth available to make either RD work at all

I'm sure I've seen people running 2x w/ MTB cassettes (@frank9755) otherwise I'd not have bought it.

I've now got one of the newer RDs so guess I'll see what happens with both.
Maybe I saw people using MTB RDs?

Does the Wolftooth work better with a short cage or a long cage RD?
ie. if I have the SS and GS versions of Ultegra Di2 and a 11-40T or 11-42T MTB cassette, which RD should I use?
