Cheers, have flagged this to Dom Thomas, think best he answers comments directly. Have offered to quote in interim if doesnt have log in.

I havent had any issues with mine and its one of the best bikes I have ridden, including some that cost an awful lot more, so would hate for people to get the wrong idea and a small Uk brand to suffer unfair damage because of this.

Edit: Fairlight are sending out emails today (Friday), and putting a statement up on their website. I will share a link when I see it

Agreed.

Every brand ever has a “bad” batch or an error etc.

Emails sent with info etc, open and honest, I see no reason to fault the brand or look at them negatively.

Brompton recalled 150,000 bikes for a BB replacement...

The Kinesis fork recall..

Probably every company out there at some point.

to be fair it wasn't really a recall, they just offered people a new BB for free (even though most of the ones i ended up replacing weren't even the 'recalled' ones anyway)
