It’s not the police that have stopped me in the past for riding brakeless, but Brompton riding, hi-vis wankers. Happened 3 times shortly after that Charlie Alliston killed the lady crossing the road (RIP).
Things like “you are meant to have brakes you little shit”, “that’s against the law!!!!!!”, and lots of hatred stares. Fairly shortly after that I decided my days of riding fixed on the street were over anyway.. just save it for the track on rare occasions now
