It turns out the minor knocking on my rear wasn't a suspected out-of-true rim, since this week it's become major and is actually down to the rim delaminating. I guess the small circumference means these tend to wear down more quickly than standard rims.
Anyway, my fixed conversion is a way off yet, so can @edscoble advise me how much a rim replacement from Evans is likely to cost please?
