  • SIZE 56/7 - I'm 5'11, fits nice.

    It's lovely, it's 90's, it's a Bianchi.
Me and my friend restored this over many hours- it had a seized seatpost, tarnished chrome and it did not function.
I'm not entirely sure which model of frame it is - we know it is from the 90's, and is very similar to both that of the genius and slx models. It certainly has Columbus tubing - but the sticker has fallen off at some point. Anyway, it is a beautiful frame with some very nice details- it certainly wasn't a basic frame.
Since, we have restored the chrome, stripped it to the frame, greased everything and cleaned everything thoroughly, then put it back together with new cables and bar tape. Everything else is original - unfortunately the bar tape isn't the best choice but it is what we had - and if you are buying this bike you will definitely want to take it off and switch the brakes to European style...
The only thing really holding it back from being a weekend shredder is the rear tub - where some of the sidewall is peeling, but it still holds air and it still rideable... We just wanted to keep it original.
Other than that it rides like a dream...
The spec is pretty obvious but let me know if you want any specifics.
We can sell it with the disc wheel of the same age for and extra £100.

We are looking for £1000 but am open to offers.

    Any questions don't hesitate!

  • Oh, can drop off London wide. Or pick up from Stroud, Gloucestershire, SE1 in the evenings and in the day either the Roman Road or Smithfield market.

  • On first impressions, I think your asking price is very optimistic

    What groupset is it?

  • An awful lot of UK Bianchi owners are mistakenly believing that it's a super high end brand who onlý manufactured high-end racing tools for professionals...

  • It's a nice bike for sure, but struggling to understand how you came up with that number?

  • Maybe I have the frame wrong. But I have seen the same frame, admittedly with better paint- but a dent in the top tube and no fork go for 1200. And the bike has the original brake pads, chain, freewheel, rings, tubs and all of it has minimal signs of wear... The only issues are cosmetic, and there aren't many of those either. If anyone knows a lot about Bianchi's then hit me up.

  • Looks like Veloce..

  • @dimblue @Meds
    It is veloce

  • I think you do have the frame wrong. I'm no Bianchi expert, but the only ones I'm aware of which might attract a value anything like that level would be the Ti Mega, or the Mega Pro XL as famously ridden by Pantani.

  • Others are also worth a fair bit. I know a frame just like this has sold for £1200 with no fork

  • Sorry was looking at it on my phone

I think you need to do a bit of work and find out exactly what it is. I mean, you're in BLB pricing territory

...and at least they know their bike is made from Columbus SLX

(For anyone) Do Bianchi have serial numbers on their frames?

  • Bianchi do have a stamp on the bottom (at least, my 1980s one does) but after much internet trawling I think I gave up on trying to place it through the number. They don’t seem to have kept reliable records.

Looks like a sweet bike though. I have a similar period Olmo, same setup, but the bianchi is a better made bike.

  • Looks like a TSX to me? This completely Record one goes for €1099. Your price is too high.

  • There are a few small differences between this frame and the TSX, although they are so similar. I will do a bit more research and adjust the price accordingly.

  • The frame also looks a lot like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Telaio-Bianchi-acciaio-54-made-in-Italy-steel-bike-frame-team-GB-MG-Maglificio-/191827450945

I also saw a catalogue from 94 that had the same bike titled as a team bike. But it's hard to know for sure.

  • I've nticed there the seat and chain stays are crimped to braze to the "end", the quality on the full Campag frame looks better to me.

  • Yeah sorry bro. Asking at least three times too much £ for this

  • I know for sure it isn't the tsx, it is slightly older. It doesn't have internal routing on the chain stay, it has a different rear brake bridge and different rear dropouts. Just offer me what you think it is worth.

  • Price change to £1000. Hope this suits better. The frame could be resold for that alone I'm sure.

  • Almost sure it's made of Columbus Thron. I own two of them, 100% similar.

  • What price was on it before 1000? haha

  • @user97166 i think you are right. Thanks

  • I guess price drop to £800
