Anyone thinking about the e6100 unit some useful info for you...
Same size and form as the e8000
Noticeably quieter than the e8000 (at least when new, will see once they've got miles on them)
More efficent, goes a bit further on the same size battery.
Tbh I can barely tell a difference in power between the two, the e8000 is certainly happier at higher rpm (100rpm+), but the e6100 has a more subtle engagement, so depends what your after.
Shifter buttons of the e6000 are gone, replaced by more ergo friendly buttons. Prefer the fake mechanical e8000 shifters myself and you can possibly swap them for the new e7000 fake mechanicals when they come out but will have to see.
Had a alfine8 e6100 with that Di2 unit on it last week, unless gates do a narrower than normal belt I can't see it fitting. Shimano are meant to be making a lower profile unit at some point, or is that MU-UR500 already the narrower one?
