It may be an idea to list the components as you have some SR parts fitted , not just NR.

Lovely bike too big for me

Thanks guys. Its a Campagnolo Nuovo Gransport groupset which was the Chorus groupset of its time. Very similar spec but 200gms heavier than Record.
The gears are buttery smooth as is the ride.

Unless you need the money; best to keep it.
Beautiful btw....but thankfully too big.

It isn't a nuovo gran sport groupset, for example the black stuff is super record (OK, the pedals might be superleggera lol)...

Rocking up in a pink bike anywhere takes guts
-
• #13
Why? It is a lovely colour and up to the 19th century, pink was the colour for boys and light blue was the colour for girls and not forgetting, pink is the colour of the leader of the Giro d'Italia....so what is not to like?
Ps: I used to have a pink bike which always got lovely comments...only my mother asked if I was gay but my late mother did say some amazingly stupid things (must tell the truth about the dead...even on mothers' day).

Looks like it is mostly super record to me with the exception of the headset which is gran sport.

Thats great news. The chainset has GS written on it so it may be the only non SR part👍

Lovely bike, but the hubs are also Gran sport not Record.

Your right. They don't have the oil/grease holes in the centre.

And they have round holes :)

Sensible offers considered. I am after a set of Lightweight or Bora tubular wheels if anyone wants a swap.

This. So damn creepy.
But yeah, dead nice bikes.
Now reduced to £750 from £995.
1980 Super rare Somec SL with amazing lug work and detailing. Somec is an Italian boutique frame manufacturer that was set up in the early 70's. They are known for their detailing, amazing quality and wild paint schemes.
She is fit for any wall or for cruising to the cafe and causing a storm.
The pearl ruby pink paint is as new and the chrome is lovely. The Campagnolo Nuovo groupset was from a timetrial bike that had only done 200 miles and is unmarked bar some minor scratches on the brake levers. There is no rub marks on the cranks or marks on the rear mech!
I built her up 2 years ago but I am not using her due to having too mamy bikes and I need the garage space!
G40 clincher rims and lovely large flang hubs.
New period Veloflex tyres.
She measures 58cm ctc, 59.5cm ctt with a 57cm top tube. She is valued at £2500 for insurance purposes but I am asking a sensible price of £995xx. Now only £750. This is as close as it gets to buying a brand new 1980 bike.
This bike is not for the shy and retiring. It generates crowds at any cyclist cafe!
Bike based in Newcastle Upon Tyne but will post with proper box and protective padding on frane and all components.
