It apparently took the garage all day but only charged me £200, moving the engine was going to be their next move. What makes it frustrating was I was able to do the rear cover in 15mins.

Maybe an unfamiliar mechanic?
Doing things the 3rd time was so much faster than the first. And I had to check the valves every 9, so had rocker covers of quite a few times.

They're usually pretty good, I think attempting it myself was an insight into how awkward one specific bolt was and they said the same thing.
