Sort of. There are numerous 'challenges' within the Audax UK structure which refer to Randonneuring, like RRTY, Super Randonneur, etc.
From AUK website:
What do the words 'Randonnée' and 'Randonneur' mean?
'Randonnée' is a French word which loosely translates to 'ramble or 'long journey' - it's not really cycling-specific, but in AUK we take it to mean a long cycle ride.
A 'Randonneur' is a person who has completed a recognised 200 kilometre ride. -
That's the tricky bit. UK people who do randos as well as audaxes have to make the distinction because they're different events. But they're a small portion of the people who use rando and audax interchangeably here. It's like computer geeks who know about and care about the difference between ROM and RAM whereas most people just think "memory". Maybe?
The only people I know using "randonneuring" are the people who know the difference between audax and randonneuring. I still think of them both as the same thing, until I'm corrected by one of the randonneurs.
