It was posted on facebook "market place" in copenhagen for about 55 gbp, and i wrote to the guy only few hours after it was posted, but i was already nr 2 in line. He worte back later saying the other guy couldnt make it so it was mine if i wanted. Turns out his address was right up the street. Super cool/funny guy. mid early 40's, had bought it when he was young, didnt really ride anymore, didnt have a smartphone, only wanted cash, "yea i hear people are riding 29" wheels today!", i ended up buying all the bits except the wheels for another 55, full of xtr, raceface, and other exciting stuff i should be able to sell and get a lot of my money back. These are the kind of deals that make my hours of cruising classifieds worth it haha.
Oh yea and after i bought it, i threw a picture of it on my story. turns out my colleague was nr 1 in line, but had to go pick up a guitar he'd been looking at instead hah! so kinda sad, but also good.
Thanks guys. Ill make more :)
So this little voodoo popped up for cheap. Disc ready! I love this era of mtb's where there's both canti and disc mounts.
Quick mockup with 400mm fork looks like it should be proper fun. It'll be for my partner, will probs be her mom bike / commuter / kid carrier etc. excuse the mess and crap pics.
Its occurred to me i've got retro mtb projects comin out my ass. I won that Rock Lobster too, and the kind @platypus has been a huge help by picking it up, packing it, and soon sending it to Copenhagen. Excited to see it!
