Absolutely not.
-
• #19803
well that's a relief.
so what next? GE to sack off the DUP presuming the toryscum can guarantee a majority based on the threat of no brexit?
-
• #19804
SI passes easily, 400-100 ish. No worries there. So we're still leaving in April/May but at least our legal system isn't going to be fucked in the interim.
But they haven't counted the indicative vote results yet
-
• #19805
I'm surprised it was that high against. 105.
-
• #19806
accidental no deal Brexit
Would almost be a funny ending to the saga.
Let's hope it doesn't go that way though.

• #19807
"Protest" vote I suppose. FlEa Bags who think that if they manage to vote that down they can somehow organise/renegotiate a no deal by Friday.

Sounds like Jonathan Pie in my head:

Completely meaningless - probably all the Tories who have ambitions for the top job, to demonstrate their credentials to the party membership.
-
• #19810
The parliamentary staff were hoping to have counted all the indicative votes to be announced after the result of the SI but they didn't manage it. This has resulted in footage of a clock on BBC Parliament...
-
• #19811
Which has more charisma than the PM?
-
• #19812
It'll definitely have more integrity.
-
• #19813
No it's not meaningless - the Hansard chap on BBC Parliament just said it could mean two things but I'm afraid I've forgotten what he said.
Edit: The gist of one of them was more Tories are still pissed off with May than expected.

• #19814
I can confirm it is telling the right time and it is certainly very clear (as it's full screen).
-
• #19815
Watch BBC news.
Some headbanger suggested raab. -
• #19816
You can watch the clock on YouTube if you don't have BBC Parliament available:

No idea when the votes will come in
-
• #19817
did you hear some of the speeches against the SI? Bill Cash etc...these guys are subscribed to a fucking death cult...it's ideological and they couldn't give a stuff about anything else.
the contempt with which they view the indicative votes process is disheartening... -
• #19818
What a shit show
-
• #19819
latest...Bill Cash is a fucking twat
No way that's news.
-
• #19820
Safe to say that ERG deputy Steve Baker is not on board with MV3...
Also safe to say he really lacks a sense of proportion. Or he has serious anger management issues.
-
• #19821
No majority for anything. Great...
-
• #19822
Amazing to watch all this from a distance... Staggering...
-
• #19823
Called it. The Great Brexit Shitshow continues. We are soooooo fucked.
-
• #19824
But more votes for 2nd ref than May's deal got either time
-
• #19825
So based on these votes, looks like the Ken Clarke custom's union with a People's Vote is the most likely to pass one day?
Can't see it happening at the moment. Not least because of the risk of accidental no deal Brexit.
If there's a GE it will require a long extension or some sort of WA to pass first
