Wanted: singlespeed

Fluffed the original post (iphone + thumbs). Want a single speed, 56-58cm. Most conditions entertained, just must be in ready-to-ride condition. If it’s a beater and it flies, DM me. Need a new commuter for the London leg of my journey that can take a beating. Preferable meet around Moorgate/St Paul’s and/or Paddington.

I have an Edinburgh Track and also a Charge Plug Freestyler in those sizes. Both set up fixed so would require brakes and levers. Would probably have to meet three bridges or similar though as I live in Chichester. Cheers. Tom

Reviving this thread as my beater got stole, big time. Any bikes in the £100-ish area entertained (as long as they work...ish). Uglier the better.

I plan to spend more on security this time round (apparently a motorbike chain and heavy lock isn't enough for a train station bike rank...).

Got a Peugeot beater I could build up and sell for about 85? Collection would be in Brighton however, let me know :)

here is an ugly dream
now has a white and unripped saddle (less wet patches in the rain) and gaffa tape (and lock plastic bit) removed and no longer on the seat tube and down tube.
I am not sure if the seat post is seized (I am 5ft 7 and its fine)
It is currently fixed, with a flip flop hub (but the bearings on freewheel are bumpy AF)

what else- there is some rust, there is some play in the front end (yup that vague).
And someone made in the underside of the top tube for some amazing internal cabling.

But, I have forgotten to lock it a few times in the daytime in Hackney and it hasnt got stolen. For this reason I see it as a kind of Excalibur of bikes.
I smile when I ride it.

Thanks, @Pagmee, this would be exactly what I'm looking for except it needs to be singlespeed (my knees ent what they used to be) and I'm 5'11 so may be a little small for my aching back. Other than that, you couldnt be more spot on with what I'm looking for!
