I have the GX which I used on the old. New routing means this set up was out the window.

I'm pretty sure I'm going with the via gt mech.
It's impressive stuff and light too as well as cheap.

I'm intrigued by what routing you have that rules out MTB mechs.

But yeah, that Via one is really nice. I put one on Kate's TJD and I'm a bit jealous of it

Not so much ruled out but don't want to have to keep trying mechs to find one that works.
Road mechs are a safe bet.
