Case looks like the super compressor cases someone was flogging on ebay with all sorts inside.
Edit: maybe it’s just all the sc’s share a similar (indentical) case and crown.

You anti cyclops lot are massive bed-wetters. It’s useful and delicious.

I thought cyclops would distract me but actually am totally used to it now and like the legibility at a glance.
I too heard it was something to do with underwater I’ve not noticed it be better or worse but then am not sure my diving into a 1.5m pool at local gym is a suitable test..... -

I don't think Rolex have ever claimed it was anything to do with underwater legibility. Seems more likely to have been designed as an aid to legibility for those who found the small date numerals hard to read.

JDM Seiko Samurai PADI popped up locally for good money.
Have seen a few reviews but they seem biased, what's the bracelet like on em?
The bracelet is actually pretty good IMO but it does make the watch hefty. I prefer the look with the bracelet but use a rubber dive strap as it makes it more wearable day to day... And better when surfing.

Did u say useless and impractical? The build up of smeg alone makes my OCD curl. Reminds me of those glasses with extra glasses.

This. It magnifies the date. It’s hardly an inconvenience.

That is really nice. Personally I don’t like the bubble and that looks great without it.

Horologists: what could cause a quartz watch to stop/start when worn, but otherwise keep good time?
This concerns the pvd submaster I’ve posted about recently, so anyone considering should exercise caution!
Have requested refund/replacement, but wonder if it’s possibly a result of low battery or something else thatcould be remedied easily.

And what’s on his Patek 5971? American Typewriter. And he actually calls it out, except he loves it, heh.

Lol. He seems to like it. Either way, thoroughly enjoyable episode. This is where hodinkee shines, not in their totally biased sponsored writing.

Not personally but by reputation. One of my old staff used to work for him too. Supposed to be a decent guy.

Tudor shot themselves on the foot when they let Davide Cerrato leave for Montblanc. Just look at 2019 Montblanc offerings vs 2019 Tudor offerings..

i expected more from John Mayers in terms of variety in his collection. Surprised he showed up with a bunch of Rolexes..
Isn't the cyclops supposed to improve legibility underwater? Tho' why you'd need to know the date while you're on a dive is beyond me...
