If only you spent more time using and looking at the bracelet it would be reason alone to get a new one, amazing engineering. The problem with me and Rolex is I genuinely use the date function but I don’t get on with the cyclops which really limits my choice. A saw a Sub for sale today with the glass replaced, looked great!

That's why people buy the deep sea but it's huge. If you've lived with the Cyclops and don't like it then I can see why you would avoid it. Can't see why it would bother anyone irl. It's like the bezel engraving, I just never notice it when I'm wearing the watch.
I was under the impression you can get the cyclops removed anyway.
I chose between those when I bought mine. The new one was just available and the old one was still in some shops. I went for the new one, it's a beautiful watch to wear and own but I added the smaller case dateless sub to scratch the itch and the older case is a thing of beauty. I like the fat face though, the ceramic bezel doesn't do much for me though. Bracelet is a much more solid item on the newer cases.
