ah i see the confusion i have caused.........
1) when i mean off road - i dont mean like in the pic above, i mean its a really really small driveway thats just off a road hence i can have NO overhang so the car has to fit :-)
2) i still prefer AWD as it is out in the countryside anyway with lots of single track, but it doesnt need to be an out an out 4x4.....
...in my new quest to find something AWD + "special" for the short off road drive of the new house - i'm getting quite disillusioned with the Golf R32's out there (mostly being modded or rough as sandpaper and dodgy history) - GTi's seem better cared for, for some reason, but dont like the lack of power and non-awd.....
Thinking about left field Mitsubishi AirTrek Turbo S - EVO engine + AWD + SUV"ish" but smaller footprint than an estate....a few nice tuning bits are around....however hardly any around for sale....
it may end up being an audi TTRS with bike carrier .....
