Seriously big watts for after 290km and at 62kg.
I expect his talents basically make him a modern Valverde with a swing towards better TT as opposed to pure mountain ability? (- blood bags)

Aru out of the Giro. He’s had surgery on a constricted iliac artery in his left leg.

Degenkolb dropping a chain on the cipressa. Lol SRAM, they never seem to catch a break.

It was amazing. I felt like sagan lacked a bit of nouse in ending up at the front of the group as they slowed and started really looking at each other

Really like Quickstep, especially as they probably don't take so many drugs any more.

Happened to Stuyven as well

MVDP didn't look like he hurt all that much except from his own pace when he decided to drop them all in the final 9 kms, winning GP Denain solo

De Gendt's impressive break today made all the more fun by reading @taogeogheganhart tweeting his frustrations with Carlton Kirby.
-
• #20510
Came here to post that. Owain Doyle chipped in as well.
Here’s my favourite ever bit of Kirby. I cringe myself inside out listening to him https://twitter.com/edchadofficial/status/968605945013121025?s=21

You’re doing a dubtap.

I can only dream of that level of opacity.

What was tao's tweets? Looks like he's deleted them now
-
• #20514
Well, if he's deleted them then best leave it at that.

What a ride De Gendt! Its should be a good race if anyone wants to make that much time back.

The audible intake of breath when he says something uncomfortable or that he thinks is funny too. Kelly is awful for it too, its so slurpy

• #20517
Kelly is the reason I haven't renewed my Eurosport subscription.

• #20518
Speaking of Kelly, the new Alan Partridge on BBC is really good.

Long live the King

Don't worry you'll have the joy of David Millar once ITV4 is back with Cycling
-
• #20521
As big a nob as he seems, he's a brilliant commentator.

Agree with 90% of your chosen words.
Just me then? -

Kelly can provide great tactical insight, but the commentator has to get it out of him. David Harmon was great at this, before his demise, but Kirby, being an abject idiot, just babbles in incoherently and tries to get Kelly to approve his gibberish. It’s awful, but don’t blame the player.

David Harmon was great at this
Yes, but Harmon also started to anticipate Kelly after a while, beginning the series of famous "Yes ..." answers. I haven't heard Kelly for ages, so have no idea what he's like now.

Ok, I wasn't being fair. I hate Kirby an equal amount.
Just watched MSR. Alaphilippe’s win felt a bit inevitable but Christ it was impressive.
Forcing a selection and then winning the sprint was proper billy big balls stuff.
