  • Aye, will do!

  • probably the wrong place to do it but SJS website is permanently broken for me at work, i think our traffic is routed through ireland so i guess thats why but why is there not just a delivery country restriction rather than just 'cant do anything if we think youre in the wrong country'

  • I get the same using some VPNs. Or sometimes I can see the products but no prices.

I assume the distributors are limiting the territories they can sell to and this is how SJS do it (although the distributors are probably on shaky ground legally).

  • If you are in a country Brompton don’t want us to sell to the IP address is blocked for their products, meaning you can add to basket but then it flags up as this.

Screen shot the issue if it’s not this in a pm?

  • Question, has anyone limit screws moved on their own? I'm only asking because i my bike is making this rattling/ticking noise which was pissing me off. I thought something might have been stuck in the cassette or chain but after cleaning and re-greasing it the noise was still there.

Took the bike to brompton junction and they amended the limit screws and bob's your uncle the noise stopped.

  • Karma for laughing at my noisy Bromopton.

  • Looking for a silver Brompton crankset (with the replaceable chainring) anyone got one for sale? Thanks

  • I've been running ultegra ht2 cranks on my Brompton for a couple of years now. I didn't do the mtb BB and spacers thing (as I wasn't aware it was an option). Ended up grinding the inner ring tabs off them. Problem is, they're 172.5mm and I've got a hankering to fit my 175mm stages PM to the Brompton.

So... I've bought a set of 130bcd 175mm dura ace 7800 ht2 cranks and an smbb52 mtb BB.

That should do the trick, right? With 3.5-4mm of spacers on the drive side of the BB?

  • Specifics of how I fitted mine will be upthread somewhere.

  • new to the club.

    2017 s2l.

    love it.

  • maybe I cursed it

  • So I couldn’t resist the lure of the paint job...sure it is a marmite thing.

I call it the v2.2 - switch to 2 speed and some extra Ti thrown on. 9.4kg as shown and hair over 9kg w/o guards or luggage block.

  • Red ergons away from perfect.

The fabric saddle and grips are so rancid.

  • They aren’t great tbh but not offending me too much. I’ll check out the ergons

  • Epo3 coming soon 😂

  • Thought it was just a re-allocation?

  • Sorry if it's been asked already, tried to search but probably using wrong keywords.
Anyway, has anyone used a bag to carry the Brompton on a plane?

  • 7 month old bike, 10 to 12 miles and 8 to 10 folds most weeks, main pivot is starting to feel loose. Like a hub bearing with the first sign of play.
Average wear or faster than expected? I was suprised. Fwiw, 12st rider on the reduced ring 2spd, I pootle rather than haul.

  • main pivot being the rear hinge or the main frame pin?

  • ikea dimpa, overhead locker ..

  • IKEA Dimpa bag with some cardboard padding works fairly well

  • ikea dimpa
