Some bloke got caught cheating by his missus. How curious she carefully did the lights. Almost as if SHE WAS BLINDING THE CAR!

This sounds like a bit of a horror show.

I don't know if a car is 'expensive' at £25,000, but I thought this belonged here, as I imagine other, more expensive cars will have been stolen in this way:

No doubt also under the expense threshold, but what the hell...

Loads of cars get stolen that way, BBC has been doing the story for a while. Faraday bags are dirt cheap (from £5) and surprisingly not given away with expensive new car purchases.

Sounds like a lucky driver.

Scoot Supercars added: “He had to dodge oncoming traffic, the tree saved him from flipping.
Breathtaking.

Drives me insane this sort of thing. I can't tell whether or not it was a closed road event but it sounds like he tried to do a racing start, had zero ability and endangered countless other drivers and bystanders.
Had he hit someone would he have even been found to have driven dangerously?

Drives me insane this sort of thing
That it appears to be tolerated by the authorities is kind of worrying.
-
• #191
Oncoming traffic suggests it wasn't a closed roads event, no?
-
• #192
Definitely doesn't look closed from this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLLqcwESjLE

It seems quite hard to pilot these things without wrapping them around a tree or other inanimate object - if the video compendiums linked to this one are to be believed.

Fucking idiot. If there’d been anyone walking along that pavement they’d have been skittled. WAC.
-
• #195
Traction control switched off? Do him for racing, void his insurance.
-
• #196
Right outside my work. There's a guy out there rebuilding the wall currently
-
• #197
Looks like there's a load of gravel been shed on the road which caused this aside from the obviously idiotic speed. Not really in the Lamborghini drivers defence but if two cars met at that point within the speed limit that gravel could cause a bit of trouble!
-
• #198
Presumably insurance wouldn't cover this given that there's video footage showing him driving like a bellend.
-
• #199
There's no gravel, it's seed from the tree on the ground. Shouldn't cause any traction issues and he lost it before that anyway

I'll say surely if the video is available to them... Unless there's an insurance for stupidity...
