It makes a change from losing 8-2 or similar! It’s a man v fat league, so the standard is err ‘mixed’ and most people are there to get themselves moving, some after 30+ years of pies and desk jobs.
Definitely gets the legs going though, I think this is the 8th week and I can walk the day after a game now.
We won a 2nd 6 a side game last week (usually get smashed).
13-0 and it felt a bit mean at the end, with even plodders like me being teed up to score (hit the post and volleyed high).
Good fun though, it’s not a particularly serious league, which is great.
