  • I spent a while very tempted by one, in particular the mechanical as the slimness really works.

However, when I tried one I found that although it looks good on a NATO the lugs are a bit long and on a normal strap there's just too big a gap between strap and body. Others may not notice but it bugged me.

  • Opinion changed? Nice than the blue?

  • Any London people here? This may appeal.

  • I really like this style , & like the thinker case as mentioned with the mechanical
But this colour is auto or quartz

  • Nicer than the blue , and I think not as obvious. And the dial looks darker depending on light or not .

  • I love it. Rather jealous, if I’m honest.
    Best birthday present ever!

  • It’s not far off perfect in my eyes.
Moonwatch is still the best watch in the world tho.....

  • I have to agree. Wish I could wear mine more often though.

  • did some market research aka trying with no intent to buy today for my next purchase hopefully in a couple of months.

Live the Cartier, Tudor fits perfectly, Zenith is super light but skeletonized dial may become tiring with time

  • Tudor is the one out of those...

  • cheaper one as well :)

  • Always a bonus.

Carrier is too big for your wrist (I know the strap isn't tight) and the zenith case & bracelet are beautiful but that dial is hideous.

  • I like that. Would consider it.

  • What did you think of the Drive de Cartier? I just cannot work out if I love them or hate them. It's a lot of watch for the money imo.

  • i love it. really do. i think i will get it at some point if i manage to save enough and not get anything cheaper. they go for 4.5k in chrono24. the lady at the AD told me 6k

its much better in real life. the crystal follows the curve of the case and its like a dome. you cant see it face on. thin with short lugs as well. yeah i like it :)

  • I've tried one on a few times. Really taken by the extra thin model but not sure how I feel about a watch with no second hand. Might be one of my next purchases.

  • Couple of Seikos that seem to have flown under the Baselworld radar. Unexpected spring drive Presage:

And an actually pretty interesting-looking fieldmaster kind of watch:

  • same reason you wanted those bullhorns way back when? ;)

  • Tried my uncle's aquaracer on yesterday and it wore very nicely. He's not into watches but it does him nicely

  • I'm not into Tags but damn I love a well worn watch. That's wicked. But what has he done to it scoured that much? Looks like it's been chewed by a naughty pup.

  • @ChainBreaker it is nicely worn yeah! Just 15 ish years of daily abuse - I've never seen him not wearing it

  • @panic all so different! I would love a Cartier but the Drive doesn’t quite do it for me, think it’s the size compared to a classic Louis Tank. Tudor is a great all rounder but would you reach past your El Primero to wear it, I guess it could become a baller beater. The Zenith skeleton is strong look :)

I want to treat myself this year (40th) to a possible end game watch but can’t figure what I want, mega first world problems. I might just have to accept my Speedmaster is probably it and stop obsessing.

A birth year, no cyclops, blue dial Snowflake is a fucking contender though...

    We have a winner

  • With out a doubt! Do it! That is epic!

  • Yeah but no but yeah but no...

Looks great but prices are bonkers - near parity with Rolex subs, no cyclops (👍) but lots are molested with new bezels, hands etc, is it special enough for an end gamer...?

Money wise I don’t see me ever spending more than this on a vintage piece so it’s a one time shot, my folks will contribute too and I will literally get the ‘Son, I am Dissapoint’ meme if I rock up with a ratty Snowflake!
