Ditto (what exactly do you get for the loyalty?)... also, v impressed with the local school donations they give, if you buy your Xmas tree from them.

I think you get 3 points for every pound you spend and every point is worth a penny

got a bit of a fungus gnat problem with our houseplants currently, i was thinking of getting a sundew plant to help kill some of them off. has anyone had any success with this?

I just bought one today. It’s very tiny - going to repot once I find a suitable container and see if it spreads. Doesn’t look like it could take on even an aphid at the moment.

Better than the basil for sure.. -

What’s your secret? Mine usually end up tall and skinny with three leaves on

At one point I had 20 on the go in little shot glasses, from that only 2 were worth pursuing. It seemed like the bigger the seeds initially the more chance they had of sprouting.

This beast of a flower stem popped out in about 4 days, didn't even know this plant could flower

My coffee plant tends to drop it's leaves over winter, then it flourishes during summer.
However, it doesn't re-grow leaves on the branches once they've fallen off, they appear at the terminus of the branch and the top of the stem.
Now this means it's a bit like a large green balloon, with an empty centre.
Is this the expected behaviour, or can I persuade it to re-grow leaves on it's branches somehow?

House plant drama !
I've been putting my Venus Fly Traps outside each morning to catch the sun then bringing them in at night. They hadn't caught anything live that I was aware of but I've been feeding them rehydrated bloodworms.
Then this happened ...

What's that plant?
Bought it on a whim a few months ago.. can't remember even checking what it was back then, either way have no idea now - anybody knows what it is?
The trunks both grew out of huge seeds (like avocado, bit smaller). -

How big is it? Resembles a curry leaf plant on my (tiny) phone screen.
Mine died recently after years of service and reaching the ceiling from the kitchen windowsill.

How big is it?

Leaves look to be a bit big, if that’s an international standard banana. But it still could be. If you rub a leaf between your fingers does it smell pungent? (Straw-clutching until someone wiser arrives)

Not a houseplant but it's worth a shot here. What's the tree that has dark green heart shaped leaves and downward hanging yellow flowers that smell really sweet, loads of them blooming round here at the moment and I love the scent.
Thanks, have not heard of any issues with that image host (directupload.net) in the past though..
..here it is again (on tumblr)
