Things are looking up then. good to hear. So you're around for the national 12 stage?
we had the southern road relays today at Milton Keynes. The short story is that any of today's top 6 teams would have won last time the race was held there. Our club B team, who finished 24th would have finished 11th the last time etc...
I ran ok, had a dodgy mile in mile 4 but worked as hard as i could. a few more proper tempos and sessions in there would have helped. i do think i got distracted by the data from my watch at one point - too much clicking through screens and thinking about what the average pace thing was telling me. roll on Sutton Coldfield.

Good work, impressive from A,B and C teams. How's the hip?
I'm just beginning to contemplate racing again, although the National relays are the week before Brighton so I didn't consider it would be a great idea for my foot, and have now committed to dog-sitting! All being well I'd like to turn out for Assembly League in a couple of weeks.
55 miles for the week so far, all in my new shoes which I'm liking a lot. Hugely encouraging run today, minimum target was completing 20 miles without feeling too awful. As it turns out I was running for most of it with a club mate who's in good form and pushing the pace faster than I'd planned, but my legs weren't complaining so I went with it. 20 miles @ sub-3 pace, actually not feeling too broken right now!
