How many people have actually been stopped by the Police for riding without brakes, and what were the consequences?

Are you basing a decision on whether or not to ride brakeless on the number of people that have been pulled for it?
Not necessarily, I’m not based in London anyway so the anecdotal evidence from most forum members would be irrelevant to that decision.
I just couldn’t find anything online and find the whole topic quite interesting!
