• I noticed some faint scoring on the chainstay from the chainring so needed to respace the cranks slightly. My very nice LBS was kind enough to lend me another Rotor tool. Unfortunately upon removing the cranks it became obvious that Wales destroyed my BB. The useless bearing shield must have trapped a lot of water and they were notched af. Also, it was clear something was going on to misalign or distort the cups, because when hand tight the crank went in fine and spun freely, but even a little torqued up it was harder to get the crank in and the bearings were binding.

Luckily nice LBS were on hand to supply a new Rotor BSA30 BB.

    Proper seals!

The Feedback Sprint is only just long enough. Truly a modern sled.

    "Boost adapter"

Side by side, very easy to see the difference in quality. Much more material on the Rotor where it matters, better machining. Slightly reduced width too.

Installed! Threaded in easier than the Race Face unit

Smol spacer, perfect NDS gap, better chainring clearance and even Q. Great success.

So basically there are no shell alignment or facing issues, neither were the threads bottoming out or something, the Race Face BB is just dogshit. 0/10 would not recommend.
