Looks like a great day out. Was 46x18 not a bit high though, especially given the wet conditions?

It was actually not as bad as I was expecting. The bits we walked I doubt we would have got up much quicker on mtb’s, or we simply didn’t have enough traction not to slide out. I was going to flip to the bigger cog but forgot to pack an allen key (wouldn’t have had enough leverage to tighten the track bolts with my small multi-tool) and I guess I’ve found the limits of the current gear so that’s good.
I’m really impressed with the Gravelking Sk’s though. Will definitely be staying on this bike.

It was you! - I'm the bloke that said something goofy like "nice bike" on the cycle path Thursday morning, new it would be someone on here. But it does look totally awesome in the flesh, I'm inspired to get back on fixed for commuting, especially after the recent minging weather has killed my poor neglected drivetrain. Now regretting having sold all my frames...

Hello! Yes I remember, you were on the lovely All City right?

It's a Brother Kepler, so I'll take that as a compliment! It was been making some expensive and somewhat embarrassing noises lately, hence feeling inspired to sort out something fixed for around town.
