Anyone have any experience of ordering from Cumulus re: time from order to delivery? I've sent them an email to ask but heard nothing yet. I'm after one of their stock quilt 250's posted to Budapest but I'm leaving in a month so might be a bit tight with timing.

Alternatively if anyone has anything for sale or recommendations for a 1 season, lightweight, down sleeping bag or quilt I'm all ears! Cheers.

Decathlon have a new range of light weight matts that look a lot like thermarest ones but obviously much cheaper. I got a small one, £24.99, the larger is £34.99
Small - 350g packed size - 1.2L
Large - 510g packed size - 1.7LNo idea about quality at this stage

I got one of the larger ones a couple of months ago and the couple of times I've used it it has been great. Temps around 3-4c and it was enough to keep me comfortable in the buff with a sleeping back as a cover.
A few reviews said that it let down after a while but mine has been fine, and Decathlon seem to replace any defective ones no questions asked.

Anyone got experience with the enlightened equipment down quilts? After a recent week spent camping in Spain I've decided I just don't sleep in sleeping bags at all well and am considering a quilt instead.

EE exaggerate their quilt temp ratings quite a bit. not a fair thing for them to do.
zpacks do the same, a little bit.
the best quilts are and will always be katabatic gear. -

Cheers - appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately they are beyond my means at the moment. The EE seem to get good praise online, do you have any knowledge of hammock gear's economy burrow at all? Or a suggestion for the best down quilt that isn't as expensive as a palisade? I won't be camping out in the depths of winter or anything. Thanks!

If you were going to spend more on one of the items which would it be? Got £100 Ellis Brigham voucher that could be used to upgrade.

Took a look at both of these and the Neutrino 400 yesterday, not certain that the 200 is warm enough for spring to autumn UK use but so tempted by the pack size.

i have the 200 (bought for summer use in europe) and will be using it in Scotland in May where it can still get pretty cold at night. Hoping that use of a insulated jacket, silk liner and hat will keep me warm enough...
-
• #618
Would be interested to hear how you get on?
What's the coldest you have tested in so far?
-
• #619
literally summertime in europe so i'm guessing no lower than 15c...
will let you know about how i get on in may

I'm away in april and may, so kinda need one.
Yeaaa you're right. I had kinda thought of the ethics but price blurred my vision. Just need to make the plunge and spend the money.
