Saw BH across a big tent at the SS[MTB]UK champs in Yorkshire, around the time of one of his major graft operations. He was an inspiration. RIP.

My heart goes out to his family, he was remarkably inspiring even without knowing him personally

This is such shitty news. I have two friends dealing with cancer right now; one is doing a Bullheart and headbutting the bastard right in the face as best he can, the other has sunk into depression and is almost giving up. I’m going to send him BH’s updates and hope that it might inspire him to fight back, because if you’re not inspired by Mark’s attitude then there’s no hope. I genuinely have no idea how you fought it so hard. I still laugh at his “I quite enjoyed the enemas” line.
RIP, you double-hard bastard. You’ve earned it.

RIP Mark.
RIP rider. My wife and I used to marvel at your strength and bravery when I'd read her your latest updates
