No visible lycra, army surplus sweaters and knee length socks for this one, no?
-
• #28
Doesn’t matter if it’s visible or not
you will know that it’s there

It was more of a trying to direct this into a RSJ fancy dress ride, I was aiming for there.
You focus on the details you wanna focus on through Robbo...

Oh I will

But also keen to be in fancy dress

You'll be passing my office at about halfway (Hartfield). I can recommend a meat pie from my neighbour Nick the Butcher. Mind you plenty of coffee opportunities in forest row.

Brilliant
That must be branch line somewhere as the rolling stock is a lot older than the bike and fashions!
The one thing I really miss about Instagram is the RSF feed, cant wait for the book, I pumped for a first 90 one and I'm quite excited all truth be told.
@cagimaha is in for one as well. The photos actully get discussed a lot in the pub after Tuesday night hills.

Good recommendation
Whats the pub like, looks a bit Gastro, but must be ok for a cheeky shandy I assume?

In forest row java and jazz for a bowl of pasta and a coffee. (next to in gear/mdv for any running repairs) or hop yard brewery for burger and beer. Anchor in Hartfield is fine. Bit slow for food. Dorset arms withyham is proper gastro but good beer tbf. The crown groombridge if its sit outside in the sun weather!

'The one thing I really miss about Instagram is the RSF feed'
It's still going...
Thanks both for buying the book. We're still hopeful it'll be ready and posted in May. -

It is and long may it continue, I just deleted my IG account that all
Really looking forwards to the book, a great thing to do matey and it will be much appreciated by many.
Might even pop a little report from this into the journal.

No problem. Any idea what sort of time you'll be along the railway? I might be able to pop out for a cheeky lunch ride...
-

I reckon we will be around Hartfieldat about 11-30/12-00
Can drop you a message on here though to be sure

Shoulder ligaments have gone again in so may have to scratch. Ugh. Am planning to be the test ride of the audax rat bike so fingers crossed painkillers and physio heal it enough to at least do first half of the ride.
-
• #42
How is it feeling?
There are lots of places to nip off on the train on this one and its not going to be a pacey affair, so always worth starting (if only for breakfast) and seeing how you go.
-
• #43
But tender but going to give it a go and see how I get on. Joy of unemployment- ain’t got anything better to do!

That the spirit matey

Slightly tweaked the route
Nothing major, just missed out some bits of A road that I’m not to familiar with and therefore didn’t fancy. It means we do stray from the original alignment on Beeching Way, but we can always look at it from the next roundabout....

Good news- shoulder getting better and the audax rat is coming together on time for the ride.
Bad news - just stabbed myself in the hand while taking off some bartape and on my way to hospital for stitches. FFS!
-
• #47
Using the machete method where you?
Hope they stitched it back on ok.

It’ll buff out. However, can’t really put any weight on it as the cut is on the fleshy bit between my thumb and index finger which means riding a bike is a no for a week.

Basically we’ve both realised you’ve put 6:30am down and yeah, no...
I’ll be up for 7:30 for a pre ride coffee.
Dont you listen to me matey! You ride what you like
More than welcome matey
RSF - https://www.rsf.org.uk/ They have an amazing collection of old photographs from the early days, which is where the one up thread is from
There is a book being produced as well, which promises to be great
