Just a quick check, but to be clear, it's a dog owners responsibility to keep them under control and not attack runners...

Was just making sure that you guys knew how to avoid making a bad situation worse.
No amount of identifying who is at fault will stop you getting bitten. Animals can be unpredictable after all. Even the best trained ones. And in the very unlikely event that you encounter a genuinely threatening dog of reasonable size, kicking it or shouting at the owner will probably make things far worse.
Didn't mean to come across as siding with the dog owner. That wasn't my intent. Genuinely felt it was important to mention what to do if a dog chases you.

Just a quick check, you know what to do if a dog chases you of snaps at you while running?
Stop, stand perfectly still, fold your arms and stare into the distance. Don't acknowledge it.
