It actually all started from being ever so slightly unsatisfied with the climbing performance of my canyon aeroad -
headtube could be lower
the reach should be longer
the chainstays and wheels stiffer
seatpost more over the bottom bracket
Also on a more serious note if anyone wants to talk converting a road/tt bike to a fixed gear please let me know, happy to talk chainline and rear wheel conversion issues.
