Depending on the size of dog, I'd be tempted to give it a kick. That is also dependent on whether I'm having a good day or not.
Chances are that I would stand still and fold my arms.
I'd find it very hard to justify kicking an animal that 90% likely has mistaken you for being fun and wanting to play with you.
Its a very small minority of dogs that chase joggers for other reasons.
