The frame is carbon but the dropout is probably aluminium.
You'd think so, but a whole load of high end racing frames from the usual suspects have completely carbon drop outs. Some are also pretty specific about NOT using those frames a Turbo, for presumably the same reason...
I think through-axles makes a lot of sense for completely carbon rear ends...

best tried/tested shim for a 30.9 dropper in a 31.6 seatpost?

Just epoxy it.

I've always got along well with USE seatpost shims, but pretty much any of them should be fine really.

What type of bonus BB have I got with this Infocrank? Owner didn't know...it's likely come off a Colnago TT bike.

Cheers - I didn't even know that was a standard....anyone want to buy a CeramicSpeed OSBB?

Think it’s the same as bb/pf30 in all but name.

Interesting...I am wondering if it's possible to bodge it into my Bb30a frame. The frame in question is a dead CAAD12 that I want to reuse as a permanent turbo setup with these cranks.
You can't just re-space one side to even it up?

It looks like the PF30 variant which houses bb30 bearings in cups. I’m not sure but I think the c12 takes bearings pressed directly in to the frame. So this will not fit, the OD is too big.

Depends...
What bolt head? What material? Do you have a local fastener shop?
In A2 stainless or 8.8BZP with hex heads, it's going to be about £3 from your local shop, but nearly £8 with shipping from either my preferred online supplier or Dan's -

You're a genius tester!
-
• #96098
Yep you are right. I am still going to give the original press-in BB30 bearings and the cranksets to my LBS and see if they can bodge. It's for turbo only at the moment.

Screwfix?
as tester says depends on what bolts you want, but you can get 100 stainless nuts for £3.09 and 100 washers for anywhere from 49p, depending on size...

I asked this a while back, but back for round 2.
Picked up a bargain burgundy leather tote, which turned out to suffer from severe dye transfer. (admittedly in high humidity, but haven't used it since and rubbing kitchen towel still transfers colour).
So far have tried,
- Gentle washing with saddle soap
- 40° low/no spin cycle with sentitive bodywash mixed with coconut oil, followed by bee's wax polish* while damp, and a hairdryer to impregnate the wax into the leather.
From a look online one leather forum suggested Ekololja or Resolene (I assume the clear).
What are my chances of this working?
Could it be worth another wash at a hotter cycle?
Also does anyone know what is it that is preventing the dye fixing? Poor original surface prep? Type of dye used? Curious to understand the root cause.
Cheers
@pdlouche as you were really helpful last time

- Gentle washing with saddle soap
Ahh - sounds reasonable. Otherwise BMX-touring might be the new gravel?
