I've been to that bird reserve before, it's an odd place when the Eurostar screams through, the concrete barges are also interested there.

Bata is the Malaysian national shoe brand - never realised it was originally Czech, assumed it was Malaysian.
Edit. Having read the article, Bata was a massive brand in Malaysia back in 1995 when I first visited. Massive as in, dedicated shops all over, probably 70% of people wearing Bata or their sports brand “Power”.
