  • The frame is carbon but the dropout is probably aluminium. Epoxy is just soft plastic. It only works when mixed with a fibre such as GRP, carbon or Kevlar. Plain epoxy will wear away in minutes. It’ll need a proper repair.

  • Wear away after minutes of wear, maybe. But it won't have to withstand any wear as the QR is not moving for 99.999% of the time.

    You'd think so, but a whole load of high end racing frames from the usual suspects have completely carbon drop outs. Some are also pretty specific about NOT using those frames a Turbo, for presumably the same reason...

    I think through-axles makes a lot of sense for completely carbon rear ends...
