  • So,a friend of mine has a carbon frame and the rear Ds dropout leaves around 0,4mm of lateral play in the axle,causing the wheel not to sit straigth.Is it a bad idea to "shim" it with epoxy?Not trying to repair carbon just adding some material,anyone knows?

    It's probably a bad idea if you don't know what you are doing! A repair specialist will know how to do an adequate repair.

  • As I said,not a repair,just need to add some material to make the wheel sit straigth,a beer can shim works but it's not permanent and a hassle to fit
