Car appreciation... the aesthetics, the engineering, etc

Not overly fond of the Polo interior tbh, but I'm gonna test drive a few to see.

I'm really tempted on an A2 and have found a 1.4tdi in good nick. It has the s-line interior so extra nice seats, and it's currently owned by an enthusiast so well taken care of. My only worry is that it'll be another car that'll require a fair bit of repair and £££. On the other hand it's small so as all other costs are going down it could be fine financially.

Checked insurance here in Sweden and it's not more than any other car. Don't think insurance companies are as evil over here tbh. I remember paying £1200 a year for a ratty polo when we lived in London, twice the car value every year...

Please tell me you got a sweet "sickspeed" sticker to put on your car

Of course, along with a "My other car's a tractor", "JTDM Inside" stickers and a Domo to hang from my tow eye. It's going to be bleedin' deadly.

Going to pick the 911 up tomorrow, the Bluebell Railway is running so I can catch a steam train to get there. Winning.

If anyone fancies a ride on a steam train, then a drive back into London in a 911 let me know.

Basel, eh? I'm flying to Basel en route to Gran Canaria in 10 days as part of my 'Get the hell out of Dodge before Brexitday' plan.

Congratulations! There are more museums and galleries here than you can shake a stick at, including a really great looking car collection at Pantheon which I've not managed to squeeze in.

Most of my visits to Basel so far have mostly featured bike rides and trips to ZigZag for burgers and beer.
