vulnerable
In real life, how often does that loop get snagged when it's a Bowden cable? That one seems big, maybe a test mule that hasn't been refined. This bike at the launch event is much tighter

Looks like it's a banjo fitting to me. Point it any way you like

How would you run TT clickers and climbing buttons with etap, if it’s possible?
-
• #3480
Blips connected to a big fuckoff ugly Blip Box.

Hmmm I thought you could run one set to the levers, wondered if you could do two some how...?

Thanks, I’m useless at finding such things! 650mm seems tight with 400mm extensions then across the bar.

So I just accidentally bought some 6770 levers...
Can I just use 6870 mechs and it'll be an 11 speed system? -

How about if I wanted 1x11?
How about if I wanted XTR mech?
Di2 is confusing -

Answer is eTap

If I can buy etap shifters for 45 quid too then happy days
-
• #3490
It’s the dérailleurs rather than the shifters you have to worry about...
But 6770 shifters seem like a decent deal if you can get it to work with 11 speed.
Cables, power adapter, junction boxes and batteries are annoyingly expensive though. -

Both fine. They'll work with anything Di2 except the original 4 wire 7970. They'll even work with Alfine Di2 if you're that way inclined.

Thought latest firmware needed an 11 speed front mech for the 6770 levers to work 11 speed. Does it just mean that it wont work 11 speed if you're still trying to use the 10 speed FD and that without one at all, 11s works fine?
Not sure I can be bothered with this after looking at the price of batteries...
-
• #3494
You can run any Di2 system without a front mech. If you have a rear mech and non-ancient firmware, then the FD must be from a group which has the same number of speeds as the RD, and you can't mix road and MTB FDs and RDs. Shifters are totally neutral though, except for sprint shifters.

6770 levers will work 11 speed with 11 speed front and rear mech or 10 speed with 10speed front and rear mech - you just cant mix the speeds of the mechs (anymore)
6770 levers will also work fine in 11 speed 1x with just 11 speed rear mech (or 10 speed with 10 speed rear mech)

I see, thanks Dans

price of batteries
If you dont mind the older external type then you can pick them up pretty cheap.

Hi all, I fell for a paint job on an electronic only frame and now am embarking on a hunt for a 10speed Di2 rear mech, battery for seatpost and all cables as cheaply as possible... anyone got any of the above?
Also does anyone have a ballpark idea of what said rear mechs might cost in the current market?
Finally, am I better off buying battery and cables new? I really just want to get the bike on the road to see if I like it then save up for eTap...
Cheers in advance,

a 10speed
y?

Because I was given a front mech and have shifters, cassettes and chainrings spare - I assumed that collecting up 10 speed would be cheaper than 11... ?
In which case that's a much skinnier line than I'd expect, and still vulnerable. Could have used a brass elbow to turn upwards immediately.
