I have 0 interest in superhero movies, but it can only be a good thing that there is more variety in the lead roles.
Under the silver lake: Uneven in tone (are we satire? mystery? thriller? The mix doesn't quite come together), and the main character is poorly acted with little character development.
On the other hand, there were some interesting scenes and characters, it is well shot, there are some cool set pieces and there is originality in the mix. So I don't think it is a complete success, but you may just enjoy it.
