(assumes it hasn’t been sold)
Hmmm Hmmmm #hmmmm I already have a 7800 group and no frame to stick it on. Hmm.
On the welding job: Do you think it’s okay to clean it up a bit (file to a uniform flatness) or will that cause it to fold up like a deckchair? And, did you use it with an external BB?
Damn, if I could find a de-stickered rear 6800 wheel, this would be a perfect frame for what I have in mind (already got a front).
Um. And what tyre clearance will it take?

I personally wouldn't try and clean up the welded repair, although if you really wanted to and it failed you wouldn't be losing any money, just risking injury? Yes I used an external BB with it and clearance, 25mm may be possible but can't confirm this.

Last drop before taking to dreaded eBay £215 posted

Now moved to eBay :'|
I was generously given this due to having a repaired (Vernon Barker?) chainstay and the non-drive side bb shell was slightly stripped. Since owning the frame I got the LBS to retap the bb and advised I threadlock it for good measure, with the BB fitted it feels solid but truth is haven't ridden it in anger. Also one of the saddle rail bolts has been superglued to the 'baton' that sits above the saddle rail but works just fine.
My intention was to go TTing but plans have changed unfortunately and I've priced to get back what I spent on parts, with the frame being free. If I can't sell this all together I will split, but have a few people I'd like to offer the frame to. Regarding the frame size it's top tube 56cm ctc, seat tube 50cm ctc, I'm 185cm and seemed to fit just right.
